Does anybody have or know where I can hear an exhaust wav of a 4.2 liter with a Flowmaster 40 series muffler on it. Thanks.

 

Hey there, I have a 4.2 with the 40 series, let me tell u a thing or 2.

It gets louder after 2-3 months than levels off, and sounds great after a FIPK, Mine is a Airforce 1.
This clip is a magnaflow but mine sounds really really close but cooler if you like the flowmaster sound better.

I guess I will ahve to email it to you.?!?

I like the 4.2L, it has plenty of power to start with and ater the mods, its great, and will do you some good.
I will send it tonight im at work, its on my home computer.

 

i thought i was the only one who noticed a difference in sound. i have a 99 with the 4.2. i got a 40 series si/do setup about half a year ago. a couple of months later, i noticed that it souned louder...almost annoyingly different. some time later, the sound mellowed out and now it sounds awesome. (now u cant make a v6 rumble like a v8, but i get a couple of second looks when im makeing a turn cause of the sound.

 

I deffanetly noticed a sound differance after a few months, but after a while now it seems to be leveled off. I did not notice too much in power increase, but with the chip and the air intake, it deffanetly was a whole new truck. I love it the speed the power and the sound and the big fatty chrome tips coming out are very eye lovey.
It is a must have with these trucks if you are hot rodder, like me.
Im getting a scanner here real soon, i will post some cool pics, asap.
