nitrous kit insatll

Well I got my nitrous exspress kit in friday, got just about everything insatlled today, would have finished but we got a late start. Ill try to finish everything tomorow, only a few things to do, I have to finish the wiring of the arm disarm switch in the cab, Change plugs to one step colder, fill botle[might have to wait till monday]check for leaks in the nitrous side, already done the fuel side. do some wire loom to neatn things up. we satarted out with 50hp shot and will go from there. hope to have some pics of the install and an update on how every thing turned out. so far everything has went well, some of the most time consuming work was making the wide open throttle switch bracket. wasnt to bad but where it has to go makes it tight . but it was worth the effort it really looked good. Ill post more when we are done.

some pictures would be great! and maybe a list of some difficulties that you may have had during the install process.
And how much it cost you.

That looks realy good did you have to drill a hole through you bed to get the hose through to the tank?

No. there is a plastic insert in the corner of the bed wall and took it out and drilled the plastic for the line. There is one on each bottom corner of the bed wall. Thats where I run the hose. I did have to drill through the bed to mount the brackets for the bottle.

Thumbs up

More details more details..... What kit is this it looks like the NX express kit right? How much was it and any details about where you injected it, how difficult is was to install. Does your truck have a limited slip rear? If not how does it handle when you kick in the nos. I've been thinking about doing this exact thing to my red v-6 lightning replica and was wondering what kind of timing changes need to be done. Maybe some 0-60 or 1/4 mile numbers or estimates. I'm really really interested in your experience. Thanks for any info....

bottle machine still broken, Hope to have it filled sometime this weekend. I ordered spark plugs today, ill have them saturday. I put a set of champions copper plus 1 step colder gaped at 35 instesd of 54, these plugs would probably be fine upto 75hp shot. The ones i ordered are a set of ngk for 50 to a 75 and another set 75 to 150. Ill post the part no.s after I try them.

hey heres the part no.s for the spark plugs NGK tr6 4177 this plug is one step colder and should be gaped at 35. Part no. NGK br7ef 3346 is two steps colder and will probily do better above a 75hp shot. These also should be gapped at 35. Ill try to give performance gains in the next few days the weather hasnt been cooperating to get optimum performance . ill post more later.

having a blast when i can
