Yeah I had the 2-3 upshift grind; Ford rebuilt the transmission for that. It still doesn't like going into first sometimes - double clutching helps.
Also as far as the clutch feeling "loose" - there is supposed to be like an inch or so of "free-play" or so from the top of the petal to where it begins engaging the clutch... is this what you mean by loose? If so that's normal.

no loose i mean that the pedal has about an inch or so that will move freely. then after that inch or so the clutch is acutlly being pused in. when i got it it had that inch or so that you would push in the pedal and now it does not have it. sorry for the weird description the best i can do now(getting ready for the new year in 7 hours now )

If you're saying that the "freeplay" is *gone* from the clutch pedal, I think it means one of 2 things: either the self-adjuster on the clutch pedal is not working (adjusting) properly or the clutch is worn and it's time for new? I might be wrong about this but I think that's what it means. How many miles?

I have had my transmission worked on twice already because the syncronizers keep going out. first it was between first and second now its between third and forth. if i didnt like shifting gears so much i would get an automatic
