Exclamation Clutch and rear main seal replacement on 2003 f150 with 4.2L motor

I'm a pretty mechanically inclined person. I'm replacing the clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, and rear main seal in my 2003 f150 with a 4.2L motor. Do I have to drop the oil pan when I replace the rear main seal??? And would it be a good idea to replace the u-joints in the driveline at the same time as clutch replacement??? It is a 2wd truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Oil pan does not have to be dropped. Make sure you also replace the pilot bearing. New u-joints wouldn't hurt as long as the driveshaft is out, especially if they are original.

Yep, I agree with glc. It won't hurt.
