'11 ecoboost screw lariat

Hey everyone, I'm looking at a 2011 ecoboost lariat 4x2...it has 101k miles on it and looks to be in good shape. The dealer is asking $18750 for it. Is that a good price and is there anything I need to be aware or warned about with the ecoboost? Thanks!

Private party book is around $17k, so that's not too bad a retail price.

So I guess nothing mechanical to worry about (timing chain tensioners, turbos going bad, clogged intercooler, rod thru the block etc. ect.) I'm just used to my '99 4.6. Not much power and not won many races but bulletproof and pretty much trouble free since I bought it 16 years ago

If you want bulletproof and don't care about power in a 2011, look for a base 3.7. If you want more power, look at the 5.0. The early Ecoboosts are generally reliable, but I wouldn't call them bulletproof.

After my '97 4.2 I swore I'd never buy a v6 again. It was rated at 205 hp...but they must have been some weak *** horses lol.

The 3.7 is rated at 302 HP and 278 TQ. It has a 7000 rpm redline and loves to wind. Essentially the same engine as in the Mustang.
