My '13 3.5 gets amazing mileage. I put a new air filter on it a couple years ago and saw the mpgs drop drastically. I bought a K&N and the mpgs went back up to normal or better than normal. The truck had about 30,000 miles on it at the time.
The truck now has over 125,000 miles on it and the last time I did my normal trip from Escondido to LA the truck got 28.5 mpg. 65 mph always. The filter makes a huge difference if you put a bad one on.
It was difficult to buy a new '15 but I did it. 2.7 gets better miles per gallon than the 3.5.
Bump I bought my truck a year and a half ago. It didn’t take me long to start changing things. I swapped the grille, painted the bumper pads, and added HID lights I lowered the truck 2.5“ in the front and 3” in the back, then added a Magnaflow exhaust and Harley wheels I changed the interior from silver to the matte metallic black. I added a Raptor steering wheel and reupholstered the cloth seats with leather too More recently I installed the Boss 302 manifold and a BBK throttle body Oz Tuning squeaked out more horses for me I sanded the Roush cai and painted it a metallic black (with a red metal flake inside the opening) I polished the engine block and clear coated it.
