My 2012 EB just rolled over 40K so I ordered some new plugs, the MC sp534. Want to get them installed before doing some longer towing with the camper this summer... so far it is still running well but want to be proactive on this one.

Thanks
Still .028 from everything i have heard.

I made it to 40k on first set and made it to 61k on 2nd set. Not sure why first set lasted longer but atleast its a easy job

Changed mine last night... the old ones all measured out to about 0.040

It was pretty easy to do, except that I need to get a medium length extension for my ratchet. I have a short and a long extension, but the short was too short to reach the plugs, and the long was too long. I ended up cobbling together a series of extensions and drivers to make it work

unfortunately I also got the dreaded wrench light last night (prior to the change) and the P0430 error code which means a bad cat. Sunday I was driving for several hours in the rain and got some condensation in the intercooler (even though I drilled a hole... guess I need to check it and see if the hole is clogged?)

Its still running a bit rough today, but hasn't re-created the error code. I'm guessing it will show up again soon, and its permanently stored on the computer (it won't totally clear)

So it looks like next week I will be getting some new cats under warranty!

Atleast your hand didn't take off the dipstick . My change a couple weeks ago went very well until I got to the drivers side next to last plugs. The plug broke loose and my hand broke the tip of the dipstick Clean off. Thano goodness a replacement stick was cheap and also got lucky that I was able to glue the piece I broke to the stick and it was just enough to pull it out before it broke again

How the hell did you do that? You're supposed to only have one or two beers until you're putting the tools away.

P0340 is camshaft position sensor - P0420/P0430 are the cat codes.
