80,000 Mile Maintenance

Hey guys I have a 2007 F-150 4.2L V6 and I am coming up on 80,000 miles and was wondering if there is any maintenance I should do like injector cleaner, fuel filter, SeaFoam, etc?

Of course I change my oil and oil filter as well as the air filter every 5,000 miles (air filter whenever it is needed).

Fuel filter every 30k.

Get your tranny fluid exchanged if you've never done it (assuming automatic), that should be every 60k (in my opinion).

At 100k, change the spark plugs and the diff lube. If you have a manual trans, change the fluid.

I put a bottle of Techron in the gas once a year and have a BG intake cleaning job done with the plug change.

Alright I will check out the fuel filter and possibly tranny fluid...I will also do a bottle of Techron...as for the 100k stuff...well I won't have the truck then...selling it in the next couple months

Oh and are there any guides on here on how to change the fuel filter on a 4.2L? Never done that before

Just go to AutoZone and get the fuel filter puller kit. You can rent it for $10-20 and its refunded to you when you return it. It has the "key" to remove the fuel clips. Then you just yank it out of the holder (which is a PITA).

Its underneath the cab/bed, driver side frame rail.
