ecoboost full break in?

i know the 1,000 mile break in that ford says, but isn't there a longer (like 8 or 9k) break in period where the computer and everything else is fully broken in and mileage should level out?

i'm wondering a couple things with this:

is it best (or does it matter) to add aftermarket cai and exhaust before or after this period?

when is it ok to start running full synthetic?

It has yet to be proven that there's a mileage figure where the PCM will adjust it's parameters - it's only conjecture.

Make sure your dealer is mod-friendly before you put an aftermarket intake or exhaust on. Benefits are questionable.

According to Labnerd, who is a well-regarded petroleum engineer, you shouldn't run full synthetic in a EB, the best oil for it is the MC blend.

What is the reasoning behind not running full synthetic oil?

I can't find the thread where he specifically talks about this, but I do see that he says the used oil analysis on EB's is coming back pretty bad - he recommends changing the oil after 1000 miles, then at least every 5k after this. I seem to remember that he said that the UOA's are coming back better with MC 5W30 blend than with any other oil, but I may be mistaken.
