Throwing this out there.....Oil

No flaming........
Just letting you all know about a very high quality engine oil (from a very old and reputable company) that has an extreme oil available. Some may have heard of them, Schaeffer Oil. Far superior to the other high line products available. NO, I have no connection to them, nor do I sell it. There is a dealer locator available on their website........Have used it for years in my diesels and it has always tested great. Their 9000 series is a full synthetic and is available in a few grades....my F150 uses 5-30. Check them out and see for yourselves.

Schaeffers has been around a long time. They make good products but like any other company, they have a tendency to stretch things more than they should. It's far from being an extreme oil and it's far from being "far superior" to any other. It's a Gp III and Gp II base oil with an additive package that exceeds the limits set by ILSAC....which means it COULD give you issues, but in all fairness, I've never heard of any issues using it. If you're having good results using it, keep using it. Otherwise, it's a good oil, as good as most any, at boutique prices. Yer engine, yer money.

I would agree at 9 bucks a qt not so sure this is doing anything that others are not doing. Your talking a standard 1/2 ton engines not race engines, if you want to spend twice the money on oil go for it. Im not a brand loyal, I put mobil 1 in the camaro because thats what it calls for, and as far as my trucks I use a name brand thats the most effective, and I have never had an issue with nay of my engines.

I dont buy anything that has the word "extreme" attached to it lol.
$9 p/q is over my budget. The best oil i used to use according to all my blackstone laboratory oil analysis tests was Amsoil. Makes sense since they basically invented what we know as synthetic oil. But its too pricey as well and a pita to get. Have to call the rep etc etc. Worst testing oils ive used... Mobil 1 synthetic. HORRIBLE results. Also tried Royal purpal and that broke down very very quickly. Mobil 1 kinda pissed me off because they sell a few stlye of oil labeled "full synthetic" but when you look on the back it says its not a stage IV or V which means its not full syn its a blend. They took their money out of the product long ago an put it in marketing.
Srry i dont know where i was going with that. Little off topic just had to rant about Mobil 1

Schaeffers oil is good stuff. The nearest dealer is about 70 miles from me one way.

I know... I could have it delivered but that would be plus tax and shipping. Not worth it to me.

I went to this:
