I drove them both again and the 250 trumps! Better mpg again 15.7 in town vs 12.7 in the ecoboost and 26.5 on the hwy no cruise 75-85 speed vs 21.7 with the ecoboost. Might be close mpg when you figure extra cost of dsl but I like the interior on the 250 more as well. It is not close to 15k diff. . The 150 I specked was 48,800 and the 250 dsl is 54,660 but that is before rebates and the 250 has an extra 1,000 so the diff is about 5k +-. They are giving me 31k for my trade which is 120% of kbb so I can swing the extra. I did not like that the 150 had such limited rear visibility.

Sounds like your decision should be easy then.. Go with what you like & makes you happy. Doesn't matter what all the guys on this forum think... Its YOUR truck, not theirs.

I'd like to see someone run a tank of fuel through that diesel and hand calculate that mileage rather than believe the DIC. In my experience the DIC is usually optimistic mileage wise and sometimes overly optimistic.

If you want to know true numbers on the 6.7 then go to powerstroke nation.com. I don't remember what the hand calculated numbers are but I know it's not 29mpg. You need to hand calculate it.

I drove both of them yesterday and I would say the F350 does not get as good as gas mileage as the EB. Plus the EB handled so much better.

The mpg I posted on both truck is not an overall mpg... just an apples to apples check on one section of highway. I don't at all think the 6.7 will get 29 on the hwy all the time. The 150 with EB is a really sweet ride no doubt about it. I really like the feel of the cab in the 250 I think because it is what I am used to. I ordered a 6.7 crew cab with the 6'6" bed, 3.31 gears for MPG and most all of the features. I am getting it for 54k which is a lot but my trade in goes a long way towards that.

Take the truck you test drove if all you want is mpg. That was great mileage even if the lie o meter was off by 5 mpg! If you next one gets 19-20, then I warned ya.

Not all trucks are created equally. My 04 Supercab got 17hwy, my 07 supercrew got 18+, my 2010 supercrew gets 16 if i'm lucky. If I get 20 on my ecoboost, I will be estatic. Would buy a SD if I could get 24!

I'm also looking at the 2011 EB F150 or the 6.7 F250. I tow about 6000# two to 4 times a year and generally some hills & mountains Currently my F150 2003 5.4 supercrew with 3.55 get 11mpg around town and 19 to 20 on the highway. Towing drops my mpg to 6.4mpg at 75-80, but if I can hold it at 60 it'll get 10mpg on the flat roads. I really want to get 12mpg towing and run 70-75mph I thinks a 250 - 6.7 may be the only way.

The sad part is that your numbers from both trucks were skewed in opposite directions from the norm.

Virtually no one is seeing 12-14 mpg on the highway with an EB. I'm on the low end of the spectrum because I drive hard and have 3.73's and I still see 16.5-17.5 without trying to get good mileage. I guarantee you no 250 will get 29 on the highway. You'll be doing good to see an average with a 2 in front of it in the 250...

i agree. How many miles were on the engines that you test drove?

Sounds like the ecoboost wasn't broke in yet and that the lie-o-meter really lies on the 6.7

A quote from powerstroke nation: " I've got 3.31 gears. The best I've seen was 20.3. That was on the 200 mile trip home from the dealer. Every since it started regens the best I've seen is 18.5".

Me thinks you better cancel that order and get the eco
