to Dave RT concerning more power

hold down the traction control button to shut it off and then hold it down for 5 seconds to shut off the Advance trac it will improve your power and mpg overall

For me mileage over safety, never. I paid for the control features, I enjoy them. Would not cut em off unless I'm stuck and need to rock the rig.

Advance trac and traction control

read about how it works and the two stages of Advance Trac on your menu for both and remember they were made for specific purposes like rain and ice or towing a load
