4.2 v6 hose id with pic

4.2 v6 hose id with pic

Not my truck, but see the hose the arrows are touching (not the little hose - its the larger partially insulated hose). It goes from the intake back to the behind the engine on the passenger side somewhere.



Mine is totally cracked and I need a part number or a part name that I can reference with an autoparts chain. Cheers

if thats the vac line im thinking of, you can just go get a length of it and replace it

That is your PCV line, if it is cracked it will throw a 171/174 code soon if it hasn't already.
The other end goes into the valve cover behind the coil pack.

The small lines have coolant in them so if you remove the small hoses be sure to de-pressurize the cooling system first.

i just fixed mine. no need to open the cooling hoses unless you replace the PCV valve.
