Post I diced up my MAF

ALOT better pickup from 1000-3000 rpm, little less top end (richer maybe)...

Had to mess with it to get the "service engine soon" light off but now it works great

I'll also goto the track to get new times this friday.

Did you reset your computer? Is yours running rough like mine? Or is my computer just stupid?

I do not take responsibility for any problems that you might have

I grabbed everything I know from this site.

I did it, I like it... BUT:

when you do it, make sure you remove the back part right behind the hollow sample tube where the sensor is(so it looks like a straw), otherwise your engine light will come on. also, disconnect your neg terminal on the battery for at least 1 hour. I've also had the truck die on me 1 time at a light waiting to turn green since I've done it so do this mod at your own risk. I'm at 180 miles with the mod and it died at 40 miles into it, no problems since.

To be honest with you: LEAVE IT ALONE!!!
This mod really only helps if you have a supercharger and plus this could void engine warranty(not sure). Really I think it hurts top end a little, I will goto the track Friday to get new times and this will be the ultimate deciding factor if its worth the time or not.

tallywacker;
That was a good link that you posted and gave some good information. In light of what you have posted and experienced, I think I will bail on the idea of modifying the MAF.

Good choice glenn. If I knew what I know now before I did it... I wouldn't have done it. Although now my truck pulls a little harder on bottom end, I still don't think it's worth the effort at all; too many mishaps!
