Borla..?
Well, after installing the flip chip a couple weeks back, I've decided that the next mod would be a cat-back exhaust. It's been pretty hard for me to decide on which one I would get, and I've finally decided on Borla. WELL, when I went to look for a system for the 4.2, nothing comes up. Does Borla make an exhaust system for our engines?? If so, do you any of you guys have it and how is it working out? I'm looking for a single in/ dual out in front of the rear tire...thanks in advance

Yes they do make it for a v6. It's just like flowmaster all there mufflers can fit on any engine the only thing you have to worry about is how it's gonna sound. I know it isn't the same but my friend got a borla for his z28 and it sounds like crap. Oh and another thing if your looking for a catback for borla your looking for about $300 to $400 .
i tried for 2 months to buy a borla cat back and could never get an answer from borla on which one i should get. sent 9 diff e-mails--called 3 times and left on hold until i finally hung up. thought they were the best system, but if they don't care about their customers i'll be damned if i'll buy one.
bought gibson headers and cat back instead and only sent one e-mail and was answered the same day.---to heck with borla!

Blue V6,
I would avoid getting a borla for your 4.2 V6, I was in the same situation about a year ago trying to get a borla system for my 98' V6, and was assured by borla the system would fit, after a bunch of unclear answers (bad customer service) from borla, and misinformation, I found out from a local muffler shop that the system they were making would only fit the 97' V6, if you have anything else you'll have to have the system custom installed to get it to fit and believe me when you're spending $400 or so on something it should fit without having it customized to get on your truck. If I were you I'd avoid borla and get a Ravin muffler, or Gibson,Flowmaster. You'll save money and be much happier for it.
