Thumbs up

Well stock engine and about a grand should get you started. k&n air filter, JBA headers and a cat back exhaust will help tons plus there is nothing like a chip!!
try and find the cat back used or just go to a shop and have them bend some 21/2 inch pipe to fit your truck. I have noticed lots of guys are willing to part with there cat back cause the new one is out or it is to loud or not loud enough.. good luck.
How muck are you willing to spend?? others will help if you let them know.

well stuff I already have or done

I purchased a Flowmaster 40 series.
I mod my intake with tip i got from the tech tips off this site.
thats it.

I know the stuff is gonna cost me but I want something that would at least turns some heads. What I want to do is get a HF air filter, headers, ditch the stock intake manifold, Chip, and I found this vortech fan the you install on the intake and it supposively gives it 30 hp, just stuff like that. I was just wondering if anyone knows what I should or hook it up.

Cool

Will,

I only have about $50.00 in my truck.

Oh that's in gas this week.

The best advise that I could give would be a Superchip.Because no matter what you do to your truck in the future the chip can be modified. Just give Mike a ring.

Hi Will,

The top 3 "bang-for-the-buck" mods on these F-150's are first, to optimize the powertrain programming with the Superchip, that will get you the biggest performance gain for the least amount of money, then next is to use an airbox elimination kit like the Airaid kit, and then 3rd, a good cat-back exhaust system.

I've listed them here in order of best "bang-for-the-buck", you can do them in any order you like, whatever suits you best.

If you'd like to go over this in more detail & examine all the various options etc., please feel free to give us a call, and we'll be happy to go over all of that with you, so you can give it some thought.

Good luck with your truck!

I have an Exhaust system for my truck = Flowmaster 40 series Delta Flow single inlet dual outlets.
I also modified my intake hose = I went to a junk yard and got the half that plugs into the fender and cut it down just enough so the K&N filter could breath.

so I guess I knocked two of those things out. but I want to make my own intake tube like one of the other guys on her did and install like a little fan the swirls the air as it goes throught making more air flow. would you think that would be wise?
and the superchip you say the flip one should be the best to buy? If it is then I'll need to save some money up for it.
