you know what i have noticed? that a stock anything ford gets whooped up by others but when they are modded a little it really picks them up

I have not got whopped by any trucks yet. so far I beat up on a 5.3L 2000 4wd like mine, a dodge ram not sure what size v8 probaly the thirsty 5.9L. Not to say I won't be beaten but that is a true understatment that a stock anything ford gets whooped up by others. I beat teh 5.3L by about 1 and half truck lenghts and the dodge by about 2. A truck with mods will beat me but who cares. Stock for stock the 5.4L has alot of *****!! I never been so impressed with a engine like the 5.4L. Has alot more power than 5.8L cleveland.

i have driven all three of the ford lineups, the 4.2 the 4.6 and the 5.4 the 4.2 both standard and auto, and the 5.4 in the truck and expy, and can tell you that stock the 5.4 can get on it, it has a lot of tire roasting power, the 4.6 is a little anemic, and the 4.2 with the auto is a dog, the standard which i daily drive, is actually pretty impressive, i work at an auto repair shop, thats how i drove those trucks, and can tell you, that no they are not extremely fast, and all trucks leave a somewhat desired performance boost, but all three can beat the chevy's, and the 4.2 standard and the 5.4 auto can keep just ahead of the 360 dodge. oh not that it matters much , but i kept ahead of a v6 probe tonight on the way home, about 1-1 1/2 car lengths, the guy finally caught me when i shifted to third though, i cant wait till i get 3.73's in the rear, my 3.08 (or is it 3.05??) is really bogging me down

Bill Bateman Wtf are you talking about? Who said anything about lying about what? The 5.3 dynoed doesn't make near horsepower chevy claims. I don't want to hear what you have to say? I am not going to bash no more. That is done with as I proved my point. Are you just trying to add more fuel to the fire? Not cool dude. The 5.4L is the most powerful and quickest engine that Ford offers over the 4.2L and 4.6L. If you try to say different then you are an idiot.

No engine ever dyno's near what the rated power, the dyno measures the power at the rear wheel while the engine is i believe rated at teh fly wheel....you're comparing apples and oranges.

I will not post anymore posts on this topic if you guys want to pursue this go to engine section and post your claims. Otherwise this is a no win topic in the v6 engine post.
