Cool

I had one.It is not too much louder than stock at idle or cruise,a slight rumble when you get on it.You will lose low end with the 3" pipe and I also lost some gas mileage. In the mid to upper rpm range worked as advertised. It is a good system well made, but I do alot of intown driving and wanted low end back.tried a magnaflow muffler,no low end flowed too much, dynomax seemed a little too restrictive on the upper end also the cheapest made,,tried a turbo muffler from rhino sounded the best but still wasn't what I wanted.Bught a Flowmaster 50 series this got my low end back and really picked things up all through the rpm range by far the least expensive way and best all around set up I have found just reuse your stock pipe, muffler costs about 80.00.

I have the 3" swept-side, and I saw a slight increase in power in all ranges, with the benefit most noticable when towing. Really helps the trans stop searching for the right gear when climbing steep hills or towing. Not to say the problem went away, but it does not act like a V-6 under a heavy load.

It has the right sound for me, but I did not want it to be much louder. A loud V-6 sounds like a loud V-6. I have a pretty quiet truck with a deeper nicer tone than stock. However, and this is an important however, I have never heard or driven a truck with the FM 50s, and i have heard good things about them.
