Power Point????????
I have a friend who maybe buying a 92 Ford F-150. It has a Inline 6 in it. on the inside of the cab there is a Lever you pull Just like a e-brake release. Lever is labeled power point. What is Power Point???
It is an auxiallry 12V power source, like for a cell phone charger etc...

It sounds like a power take off. Maybe for a snow plow, or a brush hog.

Well, anyway, tell him to enjoy if he gets it. That is one of Ford's greatest engines, even though it doesn't have alot of power. It should last a good 300,000 miles, easily.
I we are talking about the same thing, the power point is on the right side of the steering wheel, correct? It is just a little cover that you flip up and there is a 12 volt receptacle underneath. My '92 Flareside has the same thing. In fact, I plug my CB into it.

By the way, in regards to the 300 straight 6 being a good engine; I would agree whole-heartedly. I used to have a '77 F150 with the 300 and it purred all the way up to 277,000 miles, then I sold it. Great Motor!
