Post 4.0 -> 5.0 conversion

how hard is such a thing? I have a 94 explorer limited, and I plan on turning it into a major project car, which means I am seriously considering a V8, I had a firebird and miss the sound of a good 5.0, any input?

Find a wrecked 5.0 explorer, take the eng., trans., drive line(if the 4.0 eng./trans. is longer or shorter than the 5.0 combo),mounts, crossmember, computer, maf and harnesses, all fuel/engine related objects(just on the engine),accesory brackets, computer, possibly the radiator, and ignition and exhaust systems. If I listed stuff that is interchangable between the vehicles, disreguard. You may want all the linkages too. This would leave you with a factory type install, you can skip on some of these and fab. and mod your way, if you like that stuff(I sure do). Have fun, and good luck.
