Mytruck, is your truck still under original warranty. If so, yes, you can go back to the dealer and buy an extended warranty. If you are planning on keeping your truck for a few more years, I think it is worth the piece of mind. Full coverage with a $50 deductible will run you around $1000 for a Ford Premium ESP. You can pay more to get more time and/or mileage. They may try to charge an extra fee if your mileage is already high. I've negotiated out of this twice. I think you may be able to get just a power train warranty, rather than a bumper to bumper warranty. It should be much cheaper.

Question Extended Factory Powertrain Warranties

Does anyone know if an F150 owner can purchase an extension to an existing warranty from the factory? Already had one V6 engine replacement and I'd like to extend my piece of mind cause my new engine smells like antifreeze out the exhaust and has a little white residue on the oiol filler cap too. Just like my first engine! Thanks in advance for the help.
