Angry oil pan removal

can someone tell me hoe to get the oil pan off of my 92 F-150.. Have an inline 300 6.Have raised the motor a dozen times but still can't get enough clearence to reach in and remove the pick-up screen, much less slide the pan out once thats done.I am getting really frustrated because this job should not be taking this long or be this complicated.

(sorry -- my suggestion was too simplistic)

stupid question, but why are you removing the pan? If you need to just replace the gasket, you can do it without taking out the pan. If you must remove the pan, you will need a cherry picker and MAY need to take off the upper intake for that tiny bit more clearance. also, loosen the tranny mount. and remove the driveshaft(s). This should get you a bit more room to get your *****-beaters in there. Good luck.

Well -- I merely suggested that you lower the truck onto a jackstand that was supporting the harmonic balancer.

But after posting it, I re-read that you had already hoisted it -- so the suggestion would have looked stupid given the history of steps already taken.
