Hey dudes i have a 4.2L v-6 98 f150 and want to supe it up. I have a friend that is going to get a extreme blazer and want tot ake him or keep up. Can you guys give some tips on what to do to make my baby PANDORA kick ***. I am talk ing about everything exhaust, headers, chip, filtering systems and what about tires. so give me some pointers.peace

Jba is expecting to have our headers ready by mid dec.,so that will have to wait. Best bang for the buck mod get a SUPERCHIP-talk to mike troyer in the computerchips forum.He can hook you up. The Airaid intake system is also a good mod(of course a ram air hood with functional ram air induction would be better but $$$$$$$$).As far as the cat back exhaust goes,it really a matter of personal preference(gibson, borla, flowmaster,ravin, etc..)Some people are also putting a throttle body spacer on.Hope this helps.I am sure others will be along to offer up advise as well.One more thing,Welcome to the boards.

Thanx dude I guess i didnt get much in replies. hey do you think a space throttle thing is good. I am not sure what that is or how it works what do you think.

As for the throttle body spacer, I will not buy one for my truck. I feel they are a waste of money. Sure they may "swirl" the air, but then that swirled air has to be redirected to the runners and then into the heads around the valves. The swirling at the tb isn't worth it IMO. The best mod besides the superchip which will really wake up your truck is Nitrous. Although I am biased towards this mod, it will give you bonafied results . Gibson makes one of the best TRUCK exhausts I've heard. So I bought it, and it looks awesome.

Any header for a 99 or 2ooo mustang v6 will fit you just have to add a EGR fitting or something. I think its in this board somewhere.
