throttle body spacers
In regards to everyones posts on throttle body spacers, I will add on to it. I understand that the spacers for the v6 are only $109, but I talked to a mechanic at school and he said they are a pain to put on. He said it would be about $250 installed. Has anyone installed them before? Are they hard? I am somewhat mechanically inclined. Thanks guys

hey fordsport
Maybe I said it the wrong way. He is a buddy of mine and he used to be a mechanic, and he told me that's what they used to charge parts/labor. He didn't know for sure since he hadn't worked on a f-150 before. Sorry. HEy but thanks for the information. Just out of curiosity fordsport, did ya get the poweraid, or a different spacer?

OK, sorry to blow a gasket on your friend. He must not have put one on a f-150 because it is very easy. It only takes 4 sinple bolts and some linkage extenders. Yes I have the poweraid. I think it works great! I also have a couple of other mods that compliment off eachother.
sorry y2k.
Mentioned in an earlier post, a spacer incorporates a helix bore that spins the incoming air charge. The increased combustion efficiency provides tremendous torque and mileage increases.
