I've always been a "gotta have a v8 in a truck" guy, but this thing is looking better all the time.

^X2. But I wouldn't get one for probably 2 or 3 years to make sure they work out any bugs. I would never want a first year truck.

Very interesting series to follow, thanks for posting it. This looks to be one BA motor!

I am impressed, but did anyone else notice that in this video it sounds a v8?
Listen closely at .55, 1.22, and 2.05.

I was just thinking that it sounds pretty good for stock, and a V6.

This engine seems to be the "real deal." I drove it at a Ford intro event in Atlanta and it will pin you back in the seat. Bet it'll whomp my 5.4 in the quarter, lol. I saw it beating the 5.3GM truck at that event.

This is my next truck. Screw the V8. Once I'm out of college I'm getting one

Probably just fine. Doesn't it have more HP\TQ then any other stock Ford truck up to 2010? With 35's, I'd probably still look into re gearing it though.

Aren't most trailer tires rated at 65mph max?
Yes I know they can take more than that but just stating something that might be over looked.......
