Post Air Tornado

I wish I had read this before ordering an airtornado. I was desperate to improve my trucks lowend and uphill performance but without spending a lot. Of course I see no difference. I have contacted Truckperformance.com and airtornado.com about a return and neither of them have replied to my e-mail. I can pay for a long distance call but I now see on the literature that they say that since it's considered a high performance device, it cannot be returned. A paid lesson I suppose.

Man, I hate to hear that. I'm glad I didn't buy one then. Have you purchased the K&N Air filter. I did notice a difference with that.

I have a K&N filter and modified the airbox to be open. Seems like a slight difference but not noticeable on takeoff. I'm trying the Superchip next. Found a good deal on one.

I put the Air Tornado on my truck and it made a bigger difference than the K&N, exhaust and chip combined. I cant believe you couldnt tell it was there?

getsumbaby,
what size is your motor?do you just have the air filter or the open filter element set up?The only thing that I can think of to explain your power gains is that: you have the open filter system and this increased air flow actually made the air tornado do what it supposed to do.I did contact the tornado place and they seem to think it is ok to use their product with the k&n open air filter system. They said with the icreased air flow you could possibly get more power out if it than advertised.Notice they said "COULD" meaning that they weren't goooing to give any guarantees about additional power gains.I just don't know, you are the first person I have ever heard of getting noticable power gains from the air tornado.

All I have is the K&N filter, chip, and different exhaust. Thats it. I wouldnt get rid of it for nothing. When I remove or add the chip, I can tell no difference. But I sure can when I remove the Air Tornado. Humm, trucks are all different.

***Warning***

Tornado, the mod that swirls air, does nothing! No added horsepower! Infact, it probably decreases it

And if i remember colllectly...doestn't the design of the headers force the air into a vortex like shape anyway before it goes into the pistons...which means the tornado was completely pointless?
