1987 4.9L help
Hello all,
I just recently pick this truck up and am having a really weird issue that I just cannot seem to solve. Any help would be great before I finish pulling the rest of my hair out. Ok the problem is this under light acceleration the car starts to bog down and if I don't get into the throttle it will stall. If it does stall it will start right back up and be no problems as long as I get into the throttle. I can also get it to stall consistantly if I turn the wheels to the right til the reach the stops at which point if I hold it there it will stall.
Well here is what I've done so far... new wires,plugs,fuel filter,air filter,iac valve, I think all of the vacuum lines. I have also sprayed an entire can of throttle body cleaner into the tb while it was running. Dumbed a container of chevron into the tank and ran 1/3 can of seafoam through the vacuum lines.
Engine vacuum at idle in park is 20 and it is stable. Drops to about 15 in drive with the brake pedal pushed.
Ok now the coffe can was rusted beyond use so I just bypassed it.
Only other thing I can think of is when I press the brake pedal, it feels like the rotors are warped.
Any advice or help would be appreciated

you did not fill in your profile, so you said "car" in your post i assume you ment truck
any who- on the top toward the rear on the engine is a small valve for the idle speed control, on my truck it would stall when ever i would press down on the clutch, it would go down to idle then stall - this valve goes from the exhuast to the intake and it gets clogged with carbon -clean it and see what you get
it's got (if i remember) 3 screws holding down and 2 screws holding the coil to the valve body - seperate the valve body from the coil and use some carb cleaner on the valve body it's just a little needle valve and all metal so you don't need to worry about damaging anything, if you damage the gasket in between coil and valve body just RTV it

Replace the coffee can - it's there for a reason.

Sorry its taken so long to respond. As i was trying to get the stalling issue worked out i burst a brake line and it has taken me a while to replace all the lines and bleed them.
Anyways to be honest i didnt read the can a guy at work told me to give that a try so i blindly did. I also cannot seem to find that valve you are talking about perhaps i dont have one? Maybe I'm just blind lol.
Since my original post I have replaced a few more things with no luck. I replaced the oxygen sensor, coolant sensor, put in a new cap and rotor. I also replaced the fuel pump relay as it was bad and clicking on and off if you wiggled the wires.
Im fairly certain I have no vacuum leaks. I am idling high. Not sure exactly how high just picked up a tach last night so I will be able to say more definately later. But everyone who has looked at it has stated that the idle was way high. It also doesnt seem to kick down at all when warmed up. Disconnecting the IAC kills the engine so I am pretty sure that is not it.
I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and im getting 50 psi. According to my chiltons manual that is to high. Pressure doesnt change if i go into gear or if i goose the throttle. If i unplug the vacuum to the pressure regulator it will jump up to 60 psi though. Any ideas no apparent kinks in the return line, but I intend to look closer when I get home today. Not sure what else could cause high fuel pressure. Hoping that is why I am having these issues though lol.
Well I would appreciate any advice or suggestions.
