Well that fixed mine.

Did I say you were an idiot? I know I was for waiting so long!

BTW did you check out that link for the DIY? It's pretty good except for some of the terms for the parts----doohickie and such, ha ha. But it is a good step by step.

Sometimes it's best to admit defeat and just take it to the pros. Hope they can get it straightened out for you at a decent price. I was chasing around all kinds of scenarios back when mine had the issue around 80-90k miles.

I repalced:

- Upstream O2's (probably didn't need to, but fell for the error message they reported and assumed they needed replacing).
- Plenum isolator bolts
- PCV elbow
- upper\lower intake gaskets

Knock on wood, all that fixed my vacuum leak issues and the the truck has been running great ever since.

Still interested in what they say is wrong-post what they do for a fix.

Like I said earlier those codes can be a booger. Your a better man than I am, I seldom admit defeat. Usually end up so deep in things there is no turning back! ha ha
