Help with changing serpentine belt !!

I have a 2001 F150 with a 4.2 and need to change the belt.
Tried to move the tensioner with a 15mm socket and ratchet and could not get it to move. Do I need to loosen the torx fastener on the tensioner before I can get any movement on the get this to move or is there something I am not doing correctly.

Hi

Pull on the belt and you will see which direction the tensioner moves. A cresent wrench is an ok tool to use.

I know this is a thread resurrection, but my gosh did the recommendation for a cresent wrench do wonders for me a little while ago.
