Normal tools - a plug socket, ratchet, extensions, maybe a universal. It's a long reach around the back of the engine to remove and install the driver's side wires, you need pliers and a screwdriver to pop the wire loom clips open. Use dielectric grease in the wire boots at both ends.

Seriously, this engine is equal to a lawn mower engine. It's wicked easy to fix and work on.

Hate to add to it... but my riding lawn mower has a OHC engine... and the v6 F150 is a OHV engine... so it is like a really simple engine. Making the engine in my riding lawn mower way more complicated than the v6 F150 engine.
