another thing is to offer a 6 speed manual with all of them. i have a 5 speed V6 with 3.55 rear end and mine is about 2100rpms at 65mph, a 6th gear to make it go down to like 1700 would be nice. my 04 heritage 5 spd V6 was like 1800 @ 65mph but it was a 3.08 rear end. with a 6th gear you would not have to sacrifice changing the gearing of 1-5th gear to get better mileage and you would still have the same acceleration. i think a 6 speed would have been sweet

I love my truck when its not at the dealer every other week. Lately, it's been a pain in the ***. I'm moving to Austin, TX on Sept. 16th. This Sunday I have to fly to Europe until Sept 15th to fill in for friends band (you'd be surprised, I'm not looking forward to it). I don't have time to be at the dealer every week getting the same stuff fixed over and over.

Maybe I'll sell it and get something else. I'll stay in the F150 club though, no matter what, love these trucks. The newest body style still has yet to grow on me. I'd be down if I could get an '09 with my style tailgate.

XL, it sucks to hear your having a bad time with your truck I know personally how much it sucks when you have to constantly bring it back or leave it at the dealer for an insane amount of time. But hey, what warranties are for?

.. It certainly is sweet. I have been trying like hell to keep myself from going to the dealerships the past 2 years since mine has been paid off. Usually I'm like, "hey the truck is paid off, time to go trade it on a new one!"

I'm 99.9% sure they offered a 5-speed on the 4.6 somewhere during the '97 - '03 run. I know I've seen them.

You are correct. I've seen a few, but not many. Most of the ones I see were flareside regular cabs.

No payments here either. $14,789 out the door. Paid in cash. Great feeling. Nothing better than driving off the dealers lot knowing you own it 100%.
