yes i did i felt like a tard not being able to install headlights. i about put a whole through the shop wall i was so frustrsted. i thought the hardest thing would be the wiring and stuff... nope that was cake. it was the damn getting them in right that pissed me off... then finally i just got pissed gave one a good wack to get it into place and broke the damn mounts. pissed me off real bad. then went to take the other side out and it was stuck in there. so got pissed off again and it broke them mounts to. just thinkin about it gets my adrenalin goin!. lol i took them out. put them gently on a shelf and put the stock ones back in. and called it a 130 dollar lesson.

lol i had to replace my one headlight bulb in the dark and when i pulled the lense out i bumper something on the way out so one of my mounts moved and you have to get it almost perfect to be able to get them back in. took me about 10 minutes to line it up right plus another guy helped me. that was in my 04 heritage. ford made part of it easy by just lifting up on those metal flaps for holding it in but then you gotta pull out the lense which has those 3 prongs and they move very easily. that sucks so bad. glad they fixed the problem with the 04+ style.
