hey guys,
i was wondering if you can help me out ..
im having this issue with my truck, its a 2001 f150 4.2 v6.
When i accelerate it kinda sputter kinda like its breaking up.. it also happens when i rev the engine.. its weird.
anyway here are the things ive tried
cleaned the MAF, new fuel with higher octane, fuel injector cleaner, fuel filter, new air filter, new plugs, new plug wires and a new coil pack ...

 

Check for leaks in the intake.

I've heard spraying some carb. cleaner around intake gaskets and rubber hoses is a good way to find leaks. when the motor serges you found your leak.

 

Is the CEL on? Have you had the PCM read out for codes?

 

no check engine light . thats another weird thing

 

somethins leaking thats all i can diagnose... i was gunna say fuel filter... . but you said you changed it... so im out of suggestions
