I only am saying this because I am in the IT field, and I got a general baseline on what would make someone want to go to your site and buy something.

It's not that I don't necessarily like it... but I feel for average computer user, it might be kind of difficult or the coloring might be too... oh... um... childish... and distracting. Having the grays and appropriate form colors would help.

And get rid of the marquee at the top... it's sooo distracting.

Hope this clarifies things a little.

ok, cool.

I looked at other sites and they always seemed bland, I like the way ours looks,we did all of it ourselfs, no IT person. But you are right the base system they give us to work within is limited. We are always trying to improve so maybe we'll up date it a little in the future.

Is this some of your work?

Yeah, TradeMotion is a pretty powerful tool for searching... but for aesthetics, it's unpleasing.

Yes, that site is some of my work... I've got a new site that I'm going to roll out soon. I'm also building my friend who owns that restaurant a computerized ordering system. Possibly being able to order takeout right online by paying with Paypal or any major credit card, with enhanced security in mind. This will eliminate some takeout phone calls he gets. Especially the larger orders.

I was gonna say that too - but being that my web development skills are almost nil I figured I had no room to talk.

Considering Chuck used MS Word to do the site (yes, I do know how to read basic source code), it really isn't that bad. You really need to find some real software if you are going to do this commercially. Leave stuff like Word, Mozilla Composer, etc. to the amateurs like me.

I literally whipped that site up for him in like 2 days.

I used the easiest way out. The new site has Flash and I'm using DreamWeaver for the coding and design.

I think it was more work using MS Word to produce it than it would've been if I just used DW.

But I was in a rush to do it...

The new site I've been working on is been on and off work for me... not something I conjured up in 2 days.

But it doesn't look at all that bad.
