its on the frame right around the driver side door area!

its an easy process... get the tool to disconect it and pull the filter off. Haynes manual says to release the fuel presure... this is a saftey procedure that Haynes manual cannot skip (but you can and i did). just be ready for some gas to spill out of the filter keep it as level as possible and this wont happen. and some gas may come out of the gas lines ( it didnt when i changed mine) its easy 15-20 minute job!

make sure you get the correct filter and make sure the flow is going the right way!

Not likely. You will probably break parts and destroy the fuel line, and it will take you a long long time until you say 'f it and saw through the line.

With the tool, it is a very easy job. The line removal tools are commonly available and cost less than $10 for the one I used from Auto Zone.

Below is a link with instructions and pics of the tool I've used. It's the gray one in the set.

I did it my first time with no tool. Thats when I went looking for the tool, just so I wouldn't have to fight it again.

Thanks, I did 2 of these today and neither took more than 20 minutes. We changed the filter in my dad's 04 heritage style which had different connectors on each end so that one took a little longer. Plus on his gas sprayed everywhere when disconnecting the fuel lines. The filter on mine took less than 10 minutes and we had no fuel spray. We had the tool so it was very easy.

When you push the tool into the line, it pushes the center of the blue clip up. after you insert the new filter in the line, push the center of the blue clip back down.
