Guys, I dunno. Maybe we should lay off the kid a bit. I remember when I got my first F150 back in 99, it was my first truck, brand new, and I didn't know better. It was a reg cab short bed 4.2L, deep toreador red, and man, I LOVED that truck. I was sooo proud of it. I went out right away and put Cherry Bomb Vortex mufflers on it with chrome tips 45ed out the read, I put a K&N on it, and I think I loved that thing more than my girlfriend at the time. I don't know if I would ever claim numbers that weren't even close, but I was always at the old fordtruckenthusiasts.com site asking questions, telling people about "kills" that were really me driving like a clown racing some 4 banger Sentra off the line. But it was a starting point for me and Ford trucks...from there it went to an 86 250 HD 4x4, 351 Windsor stripped down no emissions, no nothing, just motor, Edelbrock upper intake manifold and 4bbl 650 cfm carb, headers, Flowmasters right out the side, 4.10s, that truck was a beast to brag about. And now my true pride, my '08 5.4

I'm just saying this may be his first Ford, he's proud of it, so let him be. Maybe a few years down the road when he's upgraded to a 4.6 or 5.4 he'll look back and see that as much as he loves this truck now, it's not as much as he thinks it is. I say give him a break, let him be happy with what he's got, and take it from there

I'd lay off him if he would take care of his sig image size, which he stubbornly refuses to do. He doesn't think the forum rules apply to him because there are others that also don't follow them.

Except this kid should know better by now, he's had enough people explain to him just how he's showing his ***.

Exactly, even though you were admittedly young and dumb, you still knew better.

This kid has gotten his fair share of breaks around here, yet as glc said, he refuses to learn anything. His engine 'numbers' and sig size are just a couple of many examples.

In my opinion, Raptor has to earn back any respect he, or anyone else, thinks he deserves.

PS:

He posted this video to show how his new exhaust time (which recently fell off) changed his exhaust sound. Can you really take him seriously? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM47jxkVMh8#GU5U2spHI_4

The kid is proud of his truck - this is a good thing. I'm proud of mine too - and it's also a basic V6 truck with hardly any mods. However, I don't keep shoving it in everyone's faces with inaccurate claims and a huge sig that clutters up every thread.

He doesn't need zip ties, he has the freaking A arms of the front suspension to hold the wire up. Oh, and the driveshaft is nice and close to it also.

Well I guess I can see where everyone else is coming from. I just didn't reaslly know the whole scope of everything, I've only been here since around last October and really only look at threads worth looking at, and it seems he is involved in few....
