When I picked up my truck from the dealership yesterday, I noticed right off the bad she seems to be running slower than normal. I checked my SG2 and I think she used to idle at 850-900 but now shes sitting at 650-700 and when I turn on my A/C, she drops to 500 and I can feel her kicking trying to stay alive. Dad says its the plugs but it wasnt doing this 3 days ago when she went into the shop!

The dealer isn't open on weekends and this is the only time I can drop her off to be looked at.

 

Normal idle on the 4.2l is 750-850 warmed up. I notice when idleing I usually end up getting the lucky 7's... or 777..

 

But I'm talking about when I kick on the A/C and I go into neutral to coast to a stop light, I can feel my engine lugging from very low RPM's and if I don't give it any gas when I let out the clutch it will stall like that. Avg RPM w/ A/C on = 625 rpm...

 

Id say its something in the fire.

 

Well yeah, we're trying to figure out why it's doing this after leaving the dealers lot though.. They aren't opened on the weekend and I'm working monday so I'm afriad by the time I manage to get it looked at they will not believe me it was a dealer issue.

 

Sounds like a rear o2 sensor on its way out. Had weird idle issues on my Dakota, and like a week later a CEL popped on, and scanned, turned out to be one of the rear o2 sensors. Replaced all of them... purrs like a kitten.

 

Well I noticed that the issue has burned away. Shes idling back up to 850 standard, 750-800 idle w/ AC engaged. So far she seems fine now. the popping in the exhaust issue has kinda melted away but there some notice if you put your ear up to it
