1997 or 1998 4.2 v6 4x2

I just had my 4.2l V6 replaced. I went to Ford. I know it may be a little bit more expensive. However, consider the warranty, three years or 75,000 mile warranty. I could not find anyone else to even come close. I am completely satisfied with the motor. Go back to Ford!

anyone know where i can find a reliable rebuilt engine? The mechanic said that he looked but I know he is lieing to me.

A friend got one of these through AdvancedAuto. Decent warranty and fair price. They even took care of the delivery.

Expect near $4K for a new engine and install if you have just experienced the hydrolock issue.

Take your chances on a junkyard engine if yours is beyond economical repair. NOTE the gasket issues with engines built prior to 2/98.

I Got My Reman Engine From Hesco Parts Corp. I Got It 3 Year Warranty Unlimited Miles For About 1900.00...
