No Power!
No Power!
I have a bit of a problem with my truck (01 4.2, 5M, ~112xxx miles)
For about a month or so my truck has been hesitating badly when under more than about 1/4 throttle, feels like a misfire but there are no codes at all. Seems pretty simple but i just can't figure it out. As long as you don't hit the gas more than about 1/4 of the way it runs fine and pulls happily all the way to redline. Luckily it still has enough power to get up to full speed I just have to hold each gear a lot longer, shifting around 3500. It seems to just stumble anytime you lug it ... ie heavy throttle and lowish RPM.
I've changed the plugs, wires, and fuel filter, and had the fuel system flushed by a shop. I've also tested the coil and unplugged the MAF and then TPS and drive around to try to force it to go open-loop without those sensors, and nothing has helped (well the fuel system flush helped a little but the problem is still there).
I have had no codes at all and I don't know what to do. I wish I could at least get some misfire codes to point to something but I have nothing! If anyone has any ideas please let me know! Thanks!

That's one heck of a correct guess you are asking for.
Sometimes you just have to give and, take the truck to a good shop, and let their techs drive around with a Scanguage (or whatever tool of their choice) hooked up to get real-time readings during the drive and see what sticks out there...or buy your own and take the gueesswork out of it.

But I'm not getting any hesitation or misfiring... just a little lost power. But that is because it has been like 0F-20F here. When it was nice two weeks ago... I got great power when it was 65F out.

The weather plays tricks on engines.
It's most likely the coil pack. That's what was making mine miss, even though there were no codes and it bench tested good. You are far enough into it now I'd recommend you change it on general principles. Make sure you use dielectric grease at both the plug and coil ends of the wires.
