What is your actual MPG?

$200 may not mean anything if you are getting the proper mileage.

But spending $800 a month? You should buy a Honda Civic.

I am thinking about the 2009 VolksWagon Polo. It has a 3 cylinder diesel engine that gets 75 miles per gallon. I could drive to & from work every week on just 2 gallons of diesel. At today's prices, I would be saving over $50 a week in gas. That should be about just enough to make the payments on a little lunch box like that.
Diesel is the WAY to go!

Much as I like my truck, if I had a long commute you bet I'd buy a little sh1tbox to do it with. 20 years ago I was commuting 100 miles a day round trip and I bought a Festiva to do it with. Loved the 40 mpg.

My F150 is a 2007 4.2L V6.

I've got an Airaid Cold Air Intake, 40 Series muffler, and 91 Octane Performance Tune by Mike Troyer.

I just got back from a short trip down the 101: 93.7 miles / 3.605 gallons = 25.991678224687933425797503467406 miles per gallon.

That's right. I'm getting 26 MPG in an F150.

I think I'm going to try that 4th gear test even tho I have 3.55's and 16" tires. I wasnt so sure about drafting until 1 day I was in a HURRY so I was doing like 85 mph behind this Dodge ThunderRoad and when I was in the left (him in right) I could feel my engine trying to keep the speed but when I pulled in behind him, my current throttle position almost slammed me into him. I backed off the throttle and maintained 85 mph. Now I sit behind those semis although I don't like the side to side turbulence. I'm a pilot, I'm used to it

Ok . 4:10s in and w a combo of 75% hwy and 25% city and idling i got 16mpg. I ended up using a superlift spedo calibrator to fix the tire diameter and gear change
