Cam Swap

I am interested in swapping cams in my truck. It is a 2005 ford f150 with the 4.2 v6. I have called a few shops in the area and i am getting quotes between $800.-$1000.00 to get this done. Can anyone give any advice or instructions on how to do it? I have been looking through the archives and didnt see any tech type instructions please forgive me if i over looked it thanks in advance.

Very simplified version.

Remove the whole intake.
Remove rocker arms
Remove push rods
remove lifters.
Remove timing chain cover, sprockets and chain.
remove cam and reverse

You may need to remove radiator and condenser

It would only be worth it if you had other mods to do at the same time, like heads or p&p lower intake

I agree, maybe a little more time before i can get something like that done, i have the normal intake, tuner, and headers done, just weighing my options as far as what to do next...
