Have a 2001 EX will not idle when started till it runs a little then it is find?

 

Check for codes??

 

Ther is none could it be the fuel fitler ?

 

Check for Idle Air Controller problem. You can try to clean it, but I would recommend replacing it.

 

cleaning it is usually my way to rule it as needs replacing since cleaning it will only correct the problem for a very short period of time ("usually" to cover the one or two that have cleaned theirs and are still running fine after years) so I agree, clean it and if it corrects your problem, replace it.

Other than that I really can't diag a problem with a single line of text saying that it doesn't idle right.
