This is a duplicate post. If your truck is under warranty I would use whatever grade oil the manufacturer recommends. This will keep you in the clear if any warranty issues arise.
If your truck is no longer covered under warranty, is there a specific reason you're wanting to use a heavier oil than what's recommended? If not, then once again, I'd recommend sticking with the manufacturer's specifications.
If you're having a problem with excessive oil burning or leaks then a heavier oil will not solve your problems, it will only slow these problems at the expense of other engine components.
