Weird noise when I "floor" it

302W,these engines have (6) individual EGR ports that get clogged and cause detonation.The only way to fix it is to remove the intake and clean them.I've used the SeaFoam in the past to clean carbon from atop my pistons.For that,it works great!If he does that then he will have half the battle won;the rest is getting the EGR ports cleaned.

Dang I didn't know that about the 4.2. Thanks for clearing that up!!
