Temp Sensor for the ECM

Hey Guys,

I finally got it figured out. I have a 1998 Ford F-150 4.2 V-6. The problem I was having is my Temperature Sensor on the ECM. Now I have that part and am ready to fix it. Just one thing, where is this part on the motor.

Not having much luck with the manual. If someone has a pic can you post it? If not some clear directions would help.

Thanks
Matt

Rite above the t-stat housing on the manifold you will see two sensors with electrical connections. The sensor to the right side,at a angle,is the one for the ECM.Be sure to use Teflon tape on the threads.

OK if you are looking at the motor is it on the right or left side? Sorry man I am not too good on the mechanical end of this. I am learning though. I am still a little confused. Looking over my book now.

Thanks
Matt

Follow your upper radiator hose to the engine.Look to the right side of it,near the thermostat housing, and you will see it buried in there at an angle to the right.
