0-60 time

I have a 2004 4.2 Single cab with an auto trans and i decided to count how fast i got 0-60 in. When I reached 50mph, i was already at 9 seconds(keep in mind i was counting in my head). Are our trucks really this slow??? Whats up with that?

Counting in your head does not work.

First, the driver cannot do the counting and
second, the counting has to be done out loud.

My brother rode with me and did the counting.

The bad news is he is a stutterer.
The good news is I have a three second truck.

Yes the 4.2 engine is slow, but has potential with a lil help. If you want acceleration, put some different gear ration on it, and you'll notice the difference.
