From what I've heard, yes, they are currently working on R&D for the AF1 intake for the new style F-150's (4.2). There is another member (TSDan) that has been patiently waiting and I think even getting updates as to when the release will be. Search on some of his threads in this forum and you may find some better information. Hopefully you all will get it soon, I know I like my AF1 for my 4.2.

I'm not sure what the comparison in HP numbers is but I do know that the new F-150 is heavier so that will hurt the performance.

Well... we're starting in october now.... hope the guys at AF1 are on the ball.

I'm going to give them some leeway, though. At least they were decent enough to say "Yeah, we're making one, hope to have it by this time"

More than the other companies have said so far.
I'm anxious!!!!

I have a 2006, and I was wondering if putting any aftermarket part on the truck would void my warranty? I'm sure it would depend on the dealer and the circumstances.

Mr Troyer I was wondering on the progress from Everett on the AF1 for the 06 4.2ltr. I have been holding off on dyno runs to data log till the AF1 is available for my truck. Also I am wondering if the 4.2 will need another set of tunes for the AF1 install.I would call but I know a few others are wanting to know the same info.A reply would be great Mike. Thanks Tom

Hi Tom,

That's a good question - last time I talked with AF1 a couple of weeks ago, they felt they were about a month or so out - we have a call into them right now and as soon as I hear back from them, I'll let everyone know!

Hi TSDan,

I just talked with one of the owner, and they feel it's about 3 weeks away from shipping right now - which probably means more like 4-5 weeks.

Anyway, as of yesterday afternoon they said they felt it should be about 3 weeks.

If you like, shoot us an email to sales@troyerperformance.com and that way we will automatically notify you of when it's ready to ship - that's the best way to stay in the loop on it's actual availability.

US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

AF1 is a good company, so long as you install right it won't be a problem, and if the stealership tries to void your warranty, slap 'em with that one

Intake Kit Available

Just found a bolt-on intake for the 4.2 V6 from AIRAID. it costs 249 at stylinconcepts part # 400141EVE. It's not a full FIPK but it'll work.
