How to Change tensioner pulley?

Has anyone ever done this? is it a simple take the belt off and remove the bolt from the middle of the pulley and then replace the pulley or is it more complicated then that?

tps reading

i have a '00 4.3 auto. i just got a flowmaster series 40 and had a k&n filter for about 2 years. before the exhaust switchout i was getting about 15 mixed driving and about 20 on long road trips. i still gett 20 on long trips but my city mileage has fallen to 12 now. i got a code reader and found out that at idle the tps is reading 18 and full throttle is 93. if anyone has a baseline reading of what it should be will be helpful.

Yes

I replaced mine in 2004 on my '97 4.2 4x2 auto. Yes, take belt off and one bolt holds it on.
Look at the new one first, to see mounting location.
Mine let the belt slip and squeal.
