Troyer Underdrive pulley

I've got an 03 begging for more power. Is this worth it? Is it hard to do because I'd be doing it myself.
Thanks,
Christine

What mods do you have already?

I recommend these bolt ons in this order:

Exhaust
Intake
Tune
Efans
UD pulley
Headers
high-flow cats

I've got a Superchip, Intake, Exhaust, and gears. I want E-fans but I'm looking at $500 for the JDM's. All other fans I've heard have very bad controllers.

Well, I understand your argument. Efans can be tricky. I use Zirgo fans wired with a simple automotive relays to turn on with the ignition, and off when I shut down. No temp probes, ac trigger, nothing. Simple and effective, not to mention cheap.

To answer your original question, the UD pulley does help.

FWIW, I put on the Flex-A-Lite Black Magic e-fan. It is a Universal fit, so install was a bit of a PITA. Works great for me. Helped mileage for sure. Not much noticeable difference in power with my automatic transmission. Seems like the people who feel the power change have manuals.

I paid $180 or so through Summit (a few years ago) and had it within 24 hours of ordering.

Based on streetcruisers recommendation visit one of the sponsors:
www.troyerperformance.com and check out the stage 1 package for the 4.2 as it is all of these upgrades (minus the headers and cats) at a very good price with a tune from a very well known man on this site.
If you opt to do it one at a time, don't go for the exhaust first as you will lose low end power with the majority of setups. Get the Efans, Pulley and Chip as they will not allow you to lose any power in the band.

Good luck to you
