I have the Chilton's book for the v6 4.2l. I am wondering if anyone has replaced their water pump and how much of a pain in the arss was it to get the fan clutch off( I do have the wrenches) Thanxs for any help

 

Well, it is on with right-hand thread, so one of the wrenches is supposed to fit over the bolts that hold the pulley to the water pump and the other fits the fan itself. If you have trouble, you may need a hammer to hit the wrench on the fan(towards the pass. side).
